First State BMX Track Championship

Rider of the Month & Rider of the Year

 

 

I. To be eligible a rider must be a First State BMX VIP Rider

 

   A. To become a VIP rider a rider must purchase or renew his or her membership at First State BMX, and their membership must be credited to First State BMX.

 

   B. Any rider that has purchased or renewed their current membership with First State BMX is already a member.

 

   C. Failure to renew your membership at First State BMX will result in loss of your VIP status and any points earned will be forfeited.

 

   D. Once a non VIP member renews their membership at First State BMX they will be credited for all points earned that year and be eligible for any remaining awards they earn.

 

II. Riders will earn track points each time he or she races a local single point race at First State BMX. All riders will receive points from the same points table (Novice, Inter, Expert, girl, cruiser, and girl cruiser).

            1st  -  20                                   6th  - 10

            2nd -  18                                   7th  -  8

            3rd  -  16                                   8th  -  6

            4th  -  14                                   DNQ  -  4

            5th  -  12

 

            Plus one point for each rider in your class

 

  A. Once a month we will have a double track points race. (Single ABA points) The date of this race will be listed on the schedule.

 

  B. Riders can earn bonus points for recruiting new riders. Riders will receive 20 bonus points for each rider that they recruit. The recruit must purchase a full membership at First State BMX and credit their membership to First State BMX to be eligible for recruiter bonus points. Sorry one day and temporary memberships do not count for bonus points, but we suggest you use the one day memberships to help you recruit riders it is a great tool. Materials are available at the track to help recruit riders. Just ask for them at registration.

 

  C. Riders can also earn bonus points for volunteering. Riders will earn 1 bonus point for every hour they volunteer for the track. This includes work days, and helping on race days. This also includes any track organized event participation (parades, helping in information booths, any outside work done to plan an event etc..) There will be a volunteer form available at registration that must be filled out and signed by a Track Operator or Board of Director to be   eligible for bonus points. Outside work done must be approved in advance for bonus points. Any track sponsored event that is eligible will be announced and posted at the track. Riders can also claim points for there families hours. If your family member is not an eligible VIP rider they may volunteer on your behalf and credit points toward your total. They must request the volunteer form from registration and have it signed to be eligible.

 

III.  Points will be tabulated each month starting on the first day of each month and ending on the last day of each month. The rider with the most points at the end of the month will be rider of the month. A rider can only earn rider of the month once per calendar year, so there will be 12 different rider's of the month each year. Once a rider has earned rider of the month their points will still continue to be added to their year end total towards rider of the year.

  A. Each Rider of the Month will be featured on the First State BMX website with a complete Bio and photo. They will also recieve a special prize from First State BMX and one of our monthly sponsor's. Monthly prizes will be announced prior to the first day of that month but not before the 15th day of the previous month. Adds a little suspense!!!!

 

  B. Each Rider of the month will receive gold status for the next month. Gold status allows the rider to have express service at registration and concessions.   That's right no waiting in line. Gold status allows you to go straight to the front of the line. Get registered fast, get your food fast and jump to the front of the awards line....No Waiting!!!

 

IV. Points will be tabulated each year starting on the first day of the year and ending with the last day of the year. The rider with the most points accumulated over the entire year will earn Rider of the Year. All VIP riders are eligible for rider of the year including rider's who earned rider of the month.

 

  A. Rider of the Year will be featured on the First State BMX website with a complete Bio and photo. They will also receive a special deluxe prize package from First State BMX and our sponsor's.

 

  B. Rider of the Year will receive gold status for the next year. Gold status allows the rider to have express service at registration and concessions. That's right no waiting in line. Gold status allows you to go straight to the front of the line. Get registered fast, get your food fast and jump to the front of the awards line....No Waiting!!!

 

  C. Rider of the Year will also receive a free one year renewal of their ABA license.

 

  D. Rider of the year will practice for free for the next year! That's right no practice fee's for a whole year.

 

V. Riders finishing 2nd - 10th in points for the year will also receive an award from First State BMX and their sponsors.

 

VI. All year end awards will be awarded at the annual banquet that is usually held the first or second week of February.
